What items are prohibited at SpringFest?
Prohibited items include: chairs (of any kind), gas bottles, cans, glassware, cooler boxes, picnic baskets, umbrellas, tents, gazebos, and braais; heavy/sharp objects, weapons, fireworks, outside food/beverages, illegal substances, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, bicycles, laser pointers, flashlights, flags with poles, banners, whistles, horns, musical instruments, loudhailers, animals (except service animals), hawkers, unauthorized sellers, and unapproved marketing/promotional materials.
Smoking and vaping are only allowed in designated areas. In accordance with Midstream College rules, learners are not allowed to smoke, vape, consume alcohol, or use prohibited substances at any time during the festival, regardless of age.

SpringFest offers a wide variety of activities for all ages, including:

What should I know about payments at SpringFest?
We are a cashless environment, so please bring your bank cards for any transactions. This includes all purchases at food stalls, market stalls, and any other services.
Are there any exclusive areas at SpringFest?
Yes! We have VIP Tables and FestTables available in exclusive areas. Book your ticket now to secure your table and enjoy a premium experience.
What kind of food can I expect at SpringFest?
We have a variety of delicious food and deli products available for you to enjoy. From gourmet snacks to hearty meals, there’s something for everyone
What are the event timings?
The gates open at 11:00 AM and the show ends at 10:00 PM
Are there special entrance arrangements for certain guests?
Yes, there will be a dedicated entrance line for VIP guests, as well as for elderly attendees, disabled/wheelchair users, and pregnant moms to ensure easy and comfortable access.
About SpringFest
History of SpringFest
SpringFest originated from a simple potjiekos day at a local school and has since evolved into a major community festival. Initially a small event for each grade, it expanded into ‘Taste of Midstream,’ expanding its reach to include parents and learners. Over eleven years, the festival has grown significantly, culminating in the first SpringFest, which drew 4 000 attendees—double the expected number. Now, with the addition of Midstream College and Midstream Ridge, SpringFest welcomes 10 000 attendees annually. Known for its lively atmosphere and diverse activities, it has become a cherished community event, driven by the dedication of teachers and parents from three schools, promising continued growth and celebration in the future.
